It is a good idea to avoid doing anything that is hard to control. It can be useful to watch your friends’ faces, or your own body, but it is also very helpful to do things that are easy to control. You can use your imagination, or your phone, or your computer, or whatever you want to use to keep your mind engaged.
The thing is, in the old days, there were many things you didn’t even learn that were easy to control. Your mind was already trained to think, or write, or read in the same way. Your imagination was already trained to think and do things that you couldn’t control, and you’re still learning how to make things in the time. But when you’re not able to think and do things properly, you tend to become more like a computer, and more like a computer.
