I think most of us have that one friend to whom we tell the most colorful and un-true stories, and I can see why, because the truth is that the most un-truthful stories are the ones we tell to the most people.
One of the best ways to get in trouble is to tell the same story over and over again to people until it reaches the point where the truth comes out. And that is exactly what I did when I told my friend the un-truth about my latest girlfriend…
In my attempt to get my new girlfriend out of the house before my ex-wife did, I kept telling her the most colorful and un-true stories about all the different places she had been. That’s not the way to keep someone out of trouble, though. Instead, I should have gone straight to the truth. No one needs to know the truth, and especially not when it comes to a relationship.
The problem with lying to a new girlfriend is that lying to an ex can only cause trouble for two reasons: One, it can make your ex jealous because he can see you as the liar. And two, it can make your girlfriend jealous because she can see you as the liar. It’s a vicious cycle.
That’s it! Thats how it works.
The problem is that the truth is not a constant state and thus doesn’t always lead to harmony between people. When this is coupled with the fact that people generally get along better with people who are telling the truth, then you end up with a situation where everyone is trying to get away with something that isn’t true. While many people like to tell the truth, the truth is always a lie.
As a matter of fact, you often find that the very best way to get closer to people that are telling the truth is to lie to them. When you lie, you can change your own perception of what people may be thinking, and thus the truth will come out. While having a lie can be an effective way to get closer to others, it can also be a destructive way to do so.
The new Deathloop trailer is full of white lies and the main character uses them to get a closer relationship with someone that has a very serious relationship with him. In the trailer, the main character, Colt Vahn, is lying to Blackreef’s Visionaries about a bunch of things. One of the biggest lies is about his own past, and that is part of why he has the ability to see into the future.
White lies tend to be one way to stay in the game, but they also tend to be one of the most powerful ways to accomplish your goals. I love using white lies. By using them to get close to someone and then telling them a bunch of lies about the past, I am able to turn them into a better partner than they were before.
I remember playing a bunch of games where you were trying to get a specific person to do something that they wouldn’t normally do. In some games, you might try to lie to them, and in others you might try to make them do something that they didn’t want to do. In the case of White lies, I’m going to go with the latter.
