I am a self-employed, independent business consultant and coach. I focus on helping business owners and entrepreneurs realize that small business ownership is a gift, and it is not for everyone. However, if you’ve ever tried to grow a start-up business, then you’ll know how difficult it can be when you don’t have enough money and don’t know anyone.
I’m a consultant for a number of different companies. I advise them on marketing, branding, and even on how to hire and train employees. I’m also the author of several books on small business and entrepreneurship. I personally have helped thousands of entrepreneurs and I can tell you from personal experience that theres a lot of people who are still stuck in their early stages of business. They need to learn from the mistakes of others.
I think the best advice I can give to someone starting their own business is to take a little time to do some reading. I mean, there are a zillion blogs out there and if you dont know where to find one youre gonna be in the dark. So if you want to start something, don’t just sit in your office, read everything you can get your hands on.
There are a lot of business books out there. One of my favorites is this one. It’s written by an entrepreneur named Scott Cook, but the book has really great advice for those just starting a business. I don’t have one of these books handy, but Scott’s work is recommended by a lot of my peers.
the good news is that Scott Cook has written a book on starting a business (and a book about how to survive a startup). But the bad news is that his advice is full of so much self-help advice that you might not even realize the business advice is self-help advice. If you do, you will find yourself spending hours in the library and wasting time reading books that make you look like you know what you are doing.
