This is called micro-segmentation marketing. It may not be as effective as the bigger company, but its not something that you need to do in order to make money. It is actually a great way to find new customers and get them to try out your product. And its one of the best ways to get your product into the hands of more people.

It can be as simple as calling them to ask a favor, or it may be a little more involved. One of the easiest ways to do it is to offer something of value that they already have a relationship with.
