I thought I was quite the entrepreneur when I started my company, but after a few years, I realized I had nothing but a bunch of cash sitting around. So I decided it was time to go back to school. I did my MBA at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and spent the next year working for my thesis adviser. After graduating, I spent the next several years working at a hotel and was finally able to quit and focus on my own company.
I made a living at the hotel, taking a lot of money from the hotel owners. I got back to school and had a lot of the same jobs that I did at the college, like sales and tax and accounting. I’m still a student at that point, but I’ve been in a lot of debt and am now looking just to get back to teaching, not to work.
