This week, I was on Spotify scrolling through the “New Releases” section where I came across a piano and vocals cover of where do we go from here. It is unclear who the artist is but it sounds like they are singing with so much emotion that it might be difficult to listen without getting tears in your eyes. The song itself speaks about where to go after everything has fallen apart and how people always want something new when things get hard. But what if you just need someone there for you? What if you needed a hand to hold or direction where to look?
The song features a piano as the lead instrument with lyrics where each verse is sung just before the chorus. The melody of where do we go from here has an emotional, yet melancholy feel to it that will leave you wanting more. This song reminds me a lot of “Santa Monica Dream” by Lord Huron where there are vocals in both English and Spanish and they don’t seem like two different languages but rather one language without words; beautiful music that can make us understand how much life means.
Songs about heartbreak are often very popular because everyone knows what it feels like to be lonely or brokenhearted, which makes these songs relatable for many people around the world who have been through something similar themselves. And when people can relate to a song, they will be more likely to listen and share the video with their friends.
So where do we go from here? What is next for this band that has had so much success in such a short period of time? They have already released two albums where every single song on each album was written by them—the first being an EP called “The Best Part” which included five songs and then the second one being full-length titled “One” featuring seven new originals as well as six covers including four artists like Imagine Dragons, Foster The People, Paramore, and Lord Huron. It’s clear these guys are talented enough to keep going without any outside help (except maybe adding some tour dates to their schedule) and if you can relate to a song, they will be more likely to listen and share the video with their friends.
Where do we go from here lyrics? This seems to be the question lately. When a band has had so much success in such a short period of time where they have already released two albums where every single song on each album was written by them—the first being an EP called “The Best Part” which included five songs and then the second one being full-length titled “One” featuring seven new originals as well as six covers including four artists like Imagine Dragons, Foster The People, Paramore, and Lord Huron it’s clear these guys are talented enough to keep going without any outside help (except maybe adding some tour dates to their schedule). The first single off “One” was called where do we go from here and it’s a song about perseverance, the idea that when life gets hard you just keep going. And this is where I think most people would say: one thing at a time, take things as they come, don’t worry so much because none of us really know what will happen tomorrow or even in twenty minutes for all we know everything could change dramatically if something unexpected happens like getting hit by a bus! These are phrases often repeated to those who are suffering through tough times but sometimes there isn’t enough energy left over to repeat these mantras back into our own heads. And then comes the answer-again where do we go from here?
where does hope come in? what is the point of going on if everything could change at any moment? how can you find peace when it’s just waiting for something bad to happen again? there are many questions one may ask themselves during a time like this but the answer is simple – one thing at a time. take things as they come. always believe that tomorrow will be better than today because no matter what happens life goes on and so should you with your head held high!
