I’ve heard it said that you should only buy medicine from a company that you know has a product that is the best.
Well, that’s definitely true, but you shouldn’t just buy the cheapest medicine on the market because you’ve heard it’s the best. Most people would say that cheap medicine isn’t the best, but you can’t just buy the cheapest medicine on the market because you already know that it’s the best.
That same logic applies to buying a medicine online. Sure, you could go to Costco and buy the cheapest medicine on the market. But you may be better off buying a generic medicine that you’re sure will work just like the brand you buy from a local pharmacy. The more often you find that the same generic medicine functions as a better medication, the more you’ll be able to trust a generic over a branded brand.
This may sound like a really dumb marketing plan, but we actually found evidence that it worked in our own lives. For example, we had a period when we did a lot of traveling and didn’t have a lot of money, so we would go into a pharmacy to buy generic cough medicine. Once we started using that medicine, we found we could save money when taking it by buying it online.
We also found that we were actually taking a lot more generic medicines than brand name ones. That was because the brand name pills we were taking were far more expensive, but the generic ones were less expensive and we could save money on the generic ones because we werent taking so much of them.
We should have known this would be a bad idea, but it’s a good example of why you should never, ever get into medicine shopping. You will save a lot of money (read: money you could be spending on a new car, or on a new house) and you might actually get better results from it, but the downside is that you might end up using more medicine than you would have liked. And that is a recipe for disaster.
So, the point here is that pharma marketing and drug reps are the worst. They make the whole idea of medicine shopping sound like a great money-saver. I mean, you save money on the generic drugs you really want, but you also take the hit of using the generic drugs that no one wants. In other words you end up wasting money and not getting the most out of your medicine shopping.
So let’s make a deal. If you’re a pharmacist (or a pharma marketing rep) and you think your drug reps are doing a bad job, just give them a free bottle of their favorite medicine. It’ll save you a few bucks and give them a great deal too.
The pharmaceutical industry works very hard to convince customers that they need their drugs at lower prices. This is done by the pharma reps being very nice and trying to get you to buy their drugs. This is a very effective way to get people to buy more and more of your product. You also have to have a good rep to convince them that their drugs are good, so you have to look out for these types of reps.
The pharmaceutical industry has a lot of marketing reps. The ones that are truly good are those that are very concerned with the end customer. Being a good rep is knowing who is out there doing your marketing and what your competitor’s rep is doing. You also have to be very concerned about the rep’s attitude. A nice guy (or gal) is not to be trusted.
