What is church marketing 101? Well like marketing in general, it’s a lot of different things. But what it boils down to is that it’s a combination of all of the following: Advertising, Social media, and word of mouth. And since you can’t effectively advertise online without somehow getting your website to hit the Google search engine, church marketing tactics often fall into the category of social media.

One of the problems is that most churchs don’t really understand the value of marketing. If you give out free stuff, people might notice. Churches are a great way to get outside your own community and meet people outside. And, as we know, the internet is a great way to meet people in your community. But, if you want your church to truly thrive, you need to market the things that you do well, or else it will only be profitable to the people that already know and care what you do.
